[ It's been quiet up until now; when there's a sudden noise entering the shop, Alphinaud slips out a small yelp, followed by the sound of something hitting the floor. Quickly he emerges into view– ]
—Oh! Erm, pardon me—N, no, naught to report, unfortunately, not any place I have searched.

[ It is, I've decided, something like a general home goods shop with a bit of an old timey feel to it, yet definitely still more modern than what Alphinaud is accustomed to. Next to him is a shelf with some cooking pots set upon it. ]
Hardly so—not for myself at any rate, nor do I believe any of this would lead to a clue. I am left to wonder how we could narrow down this search... otherwise, we could be at this for days.

[ His nose wrinkles. ]
You think it probable that they have been killed?

No... no, it does not.
Do you feel the infamous spectres we have heard so much of are related?

[ He exhales. ]
My precise thinking. And yet, we know so little of this foe. It is difficult to plan how to best proceed against a force we only know by name.

—Hm? Oh! Good eve– [ "good". ] –and not at all. Merely borrowing the stove for a moment here, so I'll be out of your way soon enough should you wish to use it.
But another moment or two, then, and it shall be finished.
[ So, while they wait... ]
I realize what has happened may be similar to your usual line of work, but I hope you are faring well after today.

Bizarre, indeed. I am no detective, and doubtless most others are not as well, so that we were instructed to assume the role is... It was something.
[ Now that it's over, it feels like a wild, fever dream. ]
I am—well, I shall be fine. It is just... what happened was so terrible.

Hardly. Well, I can say at the very least I am glad we no longer have a man-eating killer among us.
I cannot take too much credit—Alisaie was quite eager to head to that destination, and insisted I come along. I believe she was privy to what happened to Nanaly early on, however.
