[ It's been quiet up until now; when there's a sudden noise entering the shop, Alphinaud slips out a small yelp, followed by the sound of something hitting the floor. Quickly he emerges into view– ]
—Oh! Erm, pardon me—N, no, naught to report, unfortunately, not any place I have searched.
[ In the hotel kitchen, which I'm actually not sure is still a mess or not but details, stands a one (1) Alphinaud next to the counter upon where an almost sad looking paissa is perched. There's a kettle going on the stove, so it's clearly time for stress tea. ]
—Hm? Oh! Good eve– [ "good". ] –and not at all. Merely borrowing the stove for a moment here, so I'll be out of your way soon enough should you wish to use it.
[Here we are in the solar, where Kim's just finished fitting Alphinaud with a makeshift splint (exact materials TBA?). It's probably very painful to set the bone but hey, the worst is over with for the moment.]
This should do for now. I'm sorry I don't have anything better than this.
[ It hurts as all hells and this really sucks, but it, Alphinaud hopes, can only go up from here. He exhales as deeply as he's able once it's done—a little rough, his breathing still isn't great—but he won't complain. Even if he overall feels the worst he's ever been. ]
No, no—it will do splendidly in a pinch. Again, you have my deepest gratitude.
[Hey Alphinaud, wherever you are, Kim finds you and approaches. He's carrying a baby-elezen-sized crutch, which he holds out to him without much introduction or ceremony.]
Here. I believe the crutch you were given earlier today was only temporary. This one will last.
[Kim's standing in the church, lost in thought... or maybe a sort of meditation? It's hard to tell, when his expression doesn't give much away. Cecile sits on his shoulder in the form of a bandicoot.
He notices Alphinaud nearby, and offers him a nod in greeting.]
... Holding up all right?
[He saw the twins go for that hug at the end of it.]
[ Yeah. They're not prone to physical affection much, especially in front of others, but that... warranted it.
Alphinaud is still shaken up even now as he stands ahead of the pews, arms folded behind his back, eyes fixated on the old murals that make up the walls. It isn't until Kim comes in that he finally peels his gaze away, while a paissa rolls over on a bench behind him. ]
As well as one can. I am just... filled with great sorrow, and great anger.
[ Yesterday, save for the masquerade, Alphinaud was nowhere to be seen; today he is easily found within the library, standing among the rows of shelves. In one hand is a book cracked open, the other to his chin as he skims over the words in silent focus, tail twitching every so often.
[It's probably about time that Kim gave this library a good look! Also, after all the excitement and festivities yesterday, a quiet place seems very appealing. He's walking along the rows of shelves, skimming the titles, when he sees Alphinaud nearby and stops.]
[Kim's got a turtleneck under his usual jacket, which is zipped up. His face appears bruised. Cecile, as a skua, perches atop the table he's seated at, staring up at Alphinaud with her head tilted.]
[ On a road not too far from the apartments, Alphinaud strolls down a sidewalk. There's a long line of cars parked alongside it, which seems to have caught his interest currently. As he gradually makes his way down, Esmerie hops along the roof and hood of the cars. ]
For as many of these that there are, it must be a necessity for living in this city, hm?
[Kim's walking along too, with Cecile hanging out under the collar of his jacket in the form of a bandicoot. He frowns a little at the carbuncle running along the hoods...]
Be careful. Touching one of those could set off an alarm.

... I don't suppose there's any sign of our missing person in here.

Alphinaud. I was hoping I'd find you. How are you feeling?
[Between getting beat up by Susato and his link partner being killed, he's got some reasons to ask.]
