They were sent to town to break a dockworkers' strike. One of their people was murdered, which they assumed was the work of the labourers they were antagonizing. They intended to massacre the dockworkers in revenge.

In the end, we were able to prevent a complete massacre... but six people still died that night. And the conflict between the company and the workers is likely to continue.
