While on the job, he helped turn an abandoned church into a dance club, which... didn't really help the investigation. But it did get a few homeless teenagers out of tents and under a roof.
He also developed an inexplicable fascination with cryptozoology, which... somehow did end up connecting to the case, in some bizarre way.
