I'm more concerned it may repeat at any moment, without any warning. I don't remember anything that could have hinted it was coming....and nothing says it happens only at nighttime, too.
[He looks up at the sky, like he expects to see the lights popping up at any moment]
It's hard to know how to deal with this when you don't even know what it was.
I would suggest a "buddy system" of sorts, to ensure that no one is caught alone and left unaccounted for should the unthinkable happen... but I doubt that this group would be amenable to that.
[If Revali would begrudgingly and willingly cooperate with literally anyone, Revali thinks, then everybody else should do the same without any complaint]
You should bring that up. Even if there are some that wouldn't like it the majority should understandit'd be for their safety!
Maybe. I get the impression that a number of people here aren't fond of cops, in general. Or any perceived "authority" figures... insubstantial as said authority may be.
[Kitsuragi probably is one of the people Revali appreciates around here, because he likes competent people who also aren't completely ridiculous. Kitsuragi sure fits both of those requirements. Still, Revali isn't one for social visits, which is why he doesn't go to hang out with Kitsuragi.
Right now, though? When he sees Kitsuragi approaching, he actually seems to relax quite a bit. One can see from a mile away Revali is hella tense! Just going around, searching, bow in his wings! Once Kitsuragi is in sight, though, Revali lowers the bow, the string going slack]
It can't be five people at once disappeared without a trace. There must be something somewhere.
[He sure hopes so, at least! Seems like Revali is open for conversation despite the situation, though!]
[the betrayal will destroy revali and make me submit a murder proposal ooooooo]
I wasn't there to welcome them back and all I know is that they got attacked and Kotetsu suffered enough injuries to still be affected today. What exactly was that bunch doing all this time?
[He is considering the possibility maybe it's the same situation and that'd be a better scenario than them being dead, but there's no guarantee that's it, hm]
They described an... extremely bizarre scenario. Claimed they were "shrunk" down in size, that they entered a castle made of candy... and fought a large dog. [A pause, as he soaks in the psychic damage from trying to visualize all of this...] ... a cookie dog.
There probably aren't. [He agrees.] When they emerged, they came from the door of a building. We didn't find anything of the sort inside that building.
[Well, he may regret having asked for the details, but hey, he got them! And that means that...hm...]
Even if we find them, finding them at such a small size is going to make everything more difficult to deal with than it already is.
[Sigh. Yeah, he can already picture how everyone would react if he finds them and returns with four action-figure sized people. Things are already a major hassle, that's going to add gasoline to the fire!]
I almost don't want to ask them where exactly they ended up, once they're found.
[Because really, if it will be on the level of this candy nightmare Kim mentioned, then...yeah, it prooooobably is going to confuse those who aren't utter lunatics]
There's really no option at this point, other than to accept that the definition of "reality" is going to have to include more and more absurdities, as we learn more about this place...
[A defeated sigh. The war is lost; the side of sanity utterly crushed. All they can do is roll with the insanity and hope they make it out on the other side.]
Anyway... there was something I was meaning to ask.
Earlier this week, you were asking about explosives. May I ask what that was for?
One of my best weapons is explosive arrows. Arrows that, not long after impact, explode in a burst of fire.
[Revali harrumphs]
But apparently everyone I talked to thought I was going to blow up the bubble, like some novice. Ridiculous.
[As if he'd use them right after finding explosives! Somehow Revali looks pretty offended he got questions instead of explosives, as if doing that was a great inconvenience and not, you know, a very normal reaction to such a request]
[The offer seems to put Revali in excellent mood! He regards Kitsuragi with gratitude!]
I would be in debt with you if you did. It's annoying I don't have anything of what makes me the skillful warrior I am. If I can have at least one thing, this competition and everything happening would be more bearable!
[Well, he has his bow, and he can make normal arrows. He has that much! But he wants more! However, asking the Watchers for help to recover powers and stuff just...it's not an option.
Week 0, Friday
I don't suppose you've seen any sign of our missing person.
no subject
[And everybody knows that's hella impossible, so clearly something's afoot]

To tell the truth, I'm still not sure how to describe the things we saw and heard...

Kim adjusts his glasses, looking down the empty street.]
Yes, that doesn't seem likely.
Although, if the accounts from those who reappeared last night are to be believed... I'm not sure what we should expect.

[Yeah he regrets asking]
Are you meaning to say that Kotetsu almost got killed by a cookie?
[It's guaranteed Revali isn't picturing the situation right, that's for sure, but still, what in the goddess' Hylia's good name was all that]
no subject
[He takes a deep breath... and slowly exhales.]
... and the others who were with him make the same claim. If this were a mere case of psychosis, that consistency would probably not be present...
no subject
[Right? Did someone specifically make a candy house to shove tiny people into? Did someone bake a cookie dog?]

We don't know if the current missing persons have been subjected to the same treatment, either. All we can do is look out for... anything suspicious.

[A thoughtful look...]
If you're still in need of materials, I might be able to be of assistance. [Glancing away...] Well, later. After we've found our missing people.
