[Somewhere in town, Kim's daemon picks up a glass shard in her talons as she moves about in the form of a great skua. He doesn't realize there's someone else nearby, but in an instant, both he and Monika experience a horrific shoot-out as if they're there.]
[Wow! The vibes are rancid on this lovely Friday afternoon.
A couple of hours after the headcount, Monika will make her way back to the courtyard with Pygmalion in tow. The daemon sticks close to her, occasionally whining as they make their way to house 3. Though, Monika slows to a stop when she crosses paths with Kim, nodding her greeting.]
[Sup Monika, Kim is at the dining area, looking over the menu posted by the entrance. From the way his eyes are bulging as he reads it, it's definitely his first time seeing this.
[Monika isn't that used to it either, but she seems excited while she reads the menu. Still, she looks at him sympathetically once she notices that look on his face.]
[Kim's out in the Ice Garden, sitting on an ice bench (idk, everything's probably ice out there) with a cigarette in one hand and his notebook in another, seemingly looking over some notes.
[In the library, Kim can be found glancing around at the shelves, a lingering (possibly judgmental look) at a section for detective fiction... but then he sees Monika and gives her a more amicable look.]
[Kim was napping on a couch somewhere. He awakens when Monika comes near, and pulls himself up into a proper sitting position. His layers of awful cult cloaks are gone, and so is his jacket for now. He's changed into a clean T-shirt, got his stump bandaged up, and has a little bit more colour in his face now.]
Monika?
[His glasses are a little fucked up right now, and he's squinting through the good lens.]
At some point after the town hall meeting, Monika will be found crouching by the river while watching Pygmalion stick his head in the water. The daemon yips every single time, like he expects something to pop out but nothing ever happens. Wowie.]
Kim's following the river when he comes across her. Cecile follows along as a skua, landing on the ground by the water and looking curiously at Pygmalion. Kim hesitates a little when he sees her, but decides it would probably be more awkward to walk past without saying anything.]
Are you feeling all right, after getting all of that out in the open?
Week 1, Sunday
Good afternoon. I hope you're well.
[After everything they just witnessed, he means.]

[She offers a polite smile in return, looking a little tired... Sometimes teens just get publicly executed. It's fine.]
And you? I saw you rushed in to help Kotetsu. Thank you for that.

No need for thanks. He's going to be all right, so...
At least there's that.

That's completely and utterly horrifying.
She stands there, frozen after the memory ends. Slowly, she croaks out:]
What... What was that?
[Yikes? Yikes!]

A tribunal. And a bloodbath.
I'm sorry you had to see that.

... Hey. Have you found anything?

[Kim shakes his head. Cecile sits on his shoulder, curled up close to his neck as a bandicoot.]

I shouldn't be surprised... But that's still disappointing. Will this keep happening until we're all dead?

Miss Susato is safe. At least there's that.

[A little bit flatly. It will have to be enough, but... Oh, well. After a pause, she glances at whatever it is he's smoking.]
... Does that help?
no subject
... Yes. [He looks away, a little self-consciously, but he doesn't really shy away from giving a direct answer.]
It's a bad habit, and one that I keep in strict moderation. But it helps.
