['Sup, Nero, Kim's just wandered into the cafe to see what's what. He's wearing a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved shirt, and his face is covered in bruises. A bandicoot sits perched on his shoulder. He sees Nero going through the ingredients, and stops to observe.]

Anything good in there?

[perfectdistance]

[There's a black snake lightly coiled around Nero's shoulders. He's also changed into pants and a long sleeved shirt at some point, so he doesn't look like a sexy nun anymore.]

Looks like we got some eggs. The tomatoes here are way smaller than I'm used to.

[He pulls out a completely normally sized tomato.]

Good. That's good. [That is indeed a normal-ass tomato. But it's fine.]

Most of the food I've found so far has been left to rot. I was starting to worry about our options.

W0: Friday

[perfectdistance]

[There's a snake around his arms as he stands right in front of the hotel kitchen. It's a complete mess and he can't even start cleaning it yet.]

... Find anythin' out there?

[voltadomar]

[A skua flies in alongside Kim, perching on the back of a nearby chair. It rocks slightly under the weight of the heavy seabird before stabilizing.]

No sign of our missing person, alive or dead, I'm afraid.

There's no way that's good. Don't think he vanished mysteriously back home...

Week 1, Saturday

[voltadomar]

[After the trial, Kim can be found in the kitchen, squinting into a pantry at their shitty canned foods. He pulls his head out when he notices Nero nearby.]

Oh. Good evening.

[perfectdistance]

Evenin'. Dunno how good it is after all that...

[But he'll make his way over to the foods.]

Want anythin' in particular?

These things are rarely satisfying -- emotionally, that is. Most murderers aren't cartoonishly evil, like our first culprit.

[But to the other question...]

... I'm hoping for anything but beans, honestly.

[There are way too many cans of beans in here. It's demoralizing.]

w1: Sunday

[There's a meow from the hallway before Nero catches up to Disce in the throne room.

He waves at Kim in greeting.]

Lookin' for something?

[voltadomar]

Not exactly. Just taking a moment to look through my notes.

[And indeed, he's got his notebook open in his hands.]

w2: Sunday

[perfectdistance]

[Nero's quietly cleaning up after the crab bisque feast. Seafood.. the most delicious kinda stuff there is.

Disce looks up when Kim walks in.]

Good meal, detective?

[voltadomar]

It was. Reminded me a bit of home. Probably better than any time I've had it at home, even.

[Cecile, in the form of a bandicoot, is perched on his shoulder.]

Need a hand with the cleanup?

Week 3, Friday

[voltadomar]

[It's not quite noon yet, but the lieutenant is standing out in the courtyard, smoking a cigarette.

He sees Nero nearby, and greets him with a nod. He's calm as always, but his expression is a little grim.]

[ Nero seems drained, but Disce next to him still has her tail swishing. ]

Gonna have a long day tomorrow.

Week 4, Friday

[voltadomar]

[Sometime after All That Shit, Kim's helped Nero back to their shared room. The gnomes are here to greet them. It's great.]

Spike said he'll find a different room for the night. The bed's yours.

How are your wounds?

[perfectdistance]

Thanks.

[The sheaf wheat is also here, and as soon as he sees it a portion of his anxiousness seems to melt away.]

Better, since I got some help.

[His arm is just broken, instead of crushed, and he's stopped bleeding.]

Week 4, Saturday Night

[Hey, what are the chances Kim can find the cook in the kitchen? Hopefully high enough for this to be a plausible PC starter.]

Good. I was hoping I'd find you before it got too late.

I was wondering if you'd be willing to help me with something cooking-related. It could take some time, but... it's for the dead. One of the Watchers agreed to deliver a proper meal down there if I can get it prepared for them. No cramming things into bottles.

[ The odds are high. Though Nero is looking at a wine bottle and considering having a long drink after that trial. ]

Sure. What d'ya want to make for them?

Week 5, Saturday

[voltadomar]

[Kim's outside having a smoke when he sees Nero. He gives him a wave, then... a pause, before:]

Are you all right now?

[perfectdistance]

[He has gotten himself a bottle of water and is slowly sipping on it.]

Yeah. Somebody broke the curse.

[If he seems a little tired, that was a lot of screaming.]

Week 6, Monday

[Kim's at the star circle, checking out the posters outside the movie theatre.]

This is quite the variety.

[Hey Nero, Kim's out here at the park, holding a cigarette with his one hand. He's still wearing his black jacket, and it looks like he's back to using his scratched glasses.]

If nothing else, we did well today.

[Nero looks tired, but when doesn't he?]

Two out of three... 's good for us.
