Indeed, I do have a mind to learn what I can of this city, though I may have gotten... sidetracked. There was one here that reminded me of a tale I heard once in the Far East, back in mine own world.
[ pazu i will just spoil this for you now: it's not ]
Let's see, this one here—'tis the tale of a wolf-like being with great magical prowess who fell in love with a huntress in the forest, yet ere long, she were drafted into war that befell her country. It brought me back to my time in Yanxia, where the people speak of the great Tamamo Gozen that protects their lands; for long ago she nursed a samurai back to health, and in that time she fell in love. Yet soon after he had to return to the battles he fought in, and devoted to him as she now was, made the decision to lend him her strength.
'Tis a little fascinating how such similar stories can appear in wholly differing worlds...
[That glimpse of uncertainty is gone in an instant.]
If I were to compare it to one of the places we've been to before... it would most resemble CittĂ gazze. Only much, much larger, and densely populated. The technology level may be similar... as is the climate. The proximity to the sea.
Truly? I do find that fascinating! CittĂ gazze was a city quite unique to me, from its architecture, technology, fashion... Would that our circumstances weren't what they are. I would have enjoyed seeing more of it.

Mr. Kitsuragi—what a pleasant surprise. I have, though I confess 'tis more of a frivolous curiosity... Have you any interests in myths and legends?

But given how things turned out in the last town... I can understand wanting to give them a thorough look.
[Maybe this place has its own "Garden of Eden" that some CYOA group is currently getting their asses kicked in. You never know!]

It is, yes. It could be a coincidence, but...
[He gives the rows of shelves a long, contemplative look.]

Something on your mind?

But then, maybe there are still countless connections we've yet to notice.
[Maybe this library is full of them, even.]

[There's a flicker of something in his eyes. Uncertainty.]
... In what sense?

Allow me to put it this way, then—you live in a city, yes? What is it called?
